Tomasso Trattoria Announces 2006 Wine Tasting SeriesWines of Italy, Washington State, Oregon, and New Zealand Paired with Chef's Tastings Select Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m.Southborough, MA - Tomasso's Private Dining Room, with a large banquet table beautifully set for up to 25 guests, is the place for each insightful and leisurely wine tasting event at Tomasso Trattoria and Enoteca. Tomasso Wine Director, Lorenzo Savona will entertain guests as he leads them through the four S's of wine tasting: see, swirl, smell and sip. For each wine, Savona will introduce the significant elements that make it special including its region, history, geography and geology. Guests will also taste a sampling of Tomasso's award winning cuisine specially created to pair with the wines presented. The tasting will last about one and half hours and guests are encouraged to make dinner reservations to coincide with the end of the event. $25 per person, tax and tip included. Reservations required. Savona is a renowned wine expert selected by Food and Wine Magazine as the Best Sommelier in Boston in 1999 and by the Improper Bostonian as Boston's Best Restaurant Oenologist. He has been invited to speak at the annual Nantucket Wine Festival each spring for seven out of its nine years. Savona is General Manager, Partner and Wine Director at Tomasso.
