Wine Dinner with Fourth Generation Wine Maker Andrea Faccio and the Wines of Villa Giada, Piedmont Italy

Southborough, MA -- Join us at 7 pm on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 in the private dining room at Tomasso Trattoria & Enoteca for an unforgettable five course wine dinner with some of the finest wines of Italy, and the company of winemaker Andrea Faccio of Villa Giada, Canelli, Italy (in the heart of the Piedmont region). Andrea, along with Chicago based wine importer Vin Divino LTD, and Tomasso's own Wine Director, Lorenzo Savona will present a selection of Villa Giada's flagship Barbera d'Asti as well as their light and fruity Moscato d'Asti. A traditional five course menu of robust, exquisitely prepared Piedmont cuisine created by Executive Chef Tony Bettencourt will be served.

Learn first hand about the life of a leading fourth generation winemaker, the qualities that make the Piedmont unique, how wine is produced from soil to bottle, and how winemaking and grape varieties have changed over the centuries for the Giada estate. Barbera grapes, grown predominantly in the Asti and Alba regions of Piedmont, produce a rich red wine beloved by the Piedmontese people and a perfect match for braised meats, and hearty pastas.

Wines will include Andrea's three Barberas: Suri', Ajan, and Riserva Bricco Dani; as well as his Moscato Andrea. $85 per person. Reservations required by calling 508 481 8484.

Tomasso Trattoria & Enoteca opened November, 2004 and serves Tuscan inspired cuisine. Tomasso Trattoria is at 154 Turnpike Road (Route 9), Southborough, MA. It is minutes from The Mass Pike and 495.
