September, 2004, Southborough, MA - Opening this October 2004, Tomasso Trattoria and Enoteca will bring the excitement and quality of Boston and New York City dining to the Boston suburbs. As in Italy, where multiple courses are prepared simply, with fresh, local and imported ingredients, Tomasso Trattoria replicates this Italian food tradition with frequently changing items and an authentic menu ranging from antipasti to formaggi.

Award winning wine expert and renowned Boston restaurateur Lorenzo Savona and former high technology executives Tom and Mary Prince have teamed up to deliver the authentic "Italian Table" at the newly built trattoria located at the former site of the White's Corner Restaurant, a suburban institution.

In the Tuscan cooking tradition, Tomasso offers affordable, seasonally driven Italian dishes from various regions of Italy complimented by the perfect wines while knowledgeable servers assist the guest in exploring the true Italian table.

At Tomasso, the striped floors imitate the striking striped marble duomo in Siena. The warm distressed woods, white marble bar, arched passages, creamy textured walls, and iron chandeliers transport guests to the inviting, casual trattorias of Tuscany.

Guests will experience an unrivalled Tuscan inspired menu, wines from around the world, an open kitchen with seating to view chefs at work, an 80 seat dining room and a full liquor and wine bar. The space also features a 20 seat private dining room for special events, large parties, and cooking classes by Chef Bettencourt.

The wine tasting and wine dinner program promises to be fun and informative with Savona at the helm. Guests will be delighted when they meet and dine with world class winemakers at Tomasso.

As it is done in Italy, Tomasso Trattoria's multiple course menu will include antipasti ($5-6), primi (pasta/soup $8-12), secondi (meat/fish $15-22), contorni (side dishes $4-6), formaggi (cheese $6-8), dolci (dessert $5-8), and personal size pizzas ($10-14) complimented by over 20 wines by the glass and an ever-changing bottle list encompassing all of the world's wine regions.

Tomasso Trattoria offers dinner nightly and lunch Monday through Friday.
