Tomasso Trattoria Selected Best Restaurant West of Boston by Boston magazine

Boston magazine’s Best of Boston®: Thursday, July 30, 2009

SOUTHBOROUGH — Boston magazine’s annual “Best of Boston®” issue was released this week and, in the West segment, Tomasso and Panzano were both recognized with awards.

Tomasso was selected as the winner of Best RestaurantGeneral Excellence, and we were also the runner-up for Best Locavore Restaurant (that is, restaurants serving mostly locally sourced foods). Since there were only three restaurant awards given for the West, it was quite an honor to be involved in two of them (the third was Best New Restaurant). In the write-up, the magazine mentioned our hospitality, knowledgeable servers, great pizzas, hand rolled pasta, homemade sauces, and “Italian-heavy” wine list.

Panzano was also honored as the runner-up for Best Gourmet Shop West of Boston. Fred Mullins and his staff at Panzano work very hard to provide great product selection, quality, and customer service. It was very gratifying to see our efforts recognized and rewarded by Boston Magazine.

We would like to thank our staff and our customers for helping us to achieve this great honor. Boston magazine considered many fine restaurants and shops from Brookline to Newton to Waltham to Wellesley and beyond. Just imagine, they said the best restaurant west of Boston is in Southborough!
