Lorenzo is a renowned wine expert selected by Food and Wine Magazine as the Best Sommelier in Boston and by the Improper Bostonian as Boston’s Best Restaurant Oenologist. As a wine salesman, Lorenzo traveled extensively through Italy visiting many of the wineries represented on the wine list. As the owner of Les Zygomates, an award winning Boston Bistro, Lorenzo began doing wine tasting events ten years ago to introduce his guests to the wonderful world of wine.

Wine Tastings

with Wine Director, Lorenzo Savona

Wine novices and experts alike are invited to relax and experience Lorenzo’s engaging and easygoing style as he presents a tasting of up to five wines along with tasting portions of Italian delicacies in our beautiful private dining room. Learn the four S’s of wine tasting: See, Swirl, Smell, and Sip; and what makes each wine special including its region, history, geography and geology. Tastings last about one and a half hours

We will be changing the wine tasting events for 2008 and will be doing fewer overall tastings, but each will be more in depth. We will taste a minimum of 6 wines and up to 9 wines (see the Champagne Shoot-out). Please note that the DAY HAS CHANGED. We will be doing the tastings on THURSDAY NIGHTS in 2008. That way you can do 3 days of tastings, one at Tomasso Trattoria & Enoteca and two days at Panzano Provviste e Vino!

Wine Dinners

Guests are invited to mingle with the wine maker, while enjoying an elegant, multiple course dinner of authentic Italian cuisine with a different wine with each course.
